Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is an incredible brand new adventure set in the universe of George R.R. Martin’s award-winning series. Telltale’s Game of Thrones has an incredibly strong start that sets the tone for the episodic journey, very similar to the start of Tales from the Borderlands. Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series does a great job of incorporating new lore into an extremely detailed and expansive universe.
Telltale Games’ adaptation of Game of Thrones begins around the end of the third season. Many members of the hit HBO show are present to reprise their roles, and it makes the game feel even more connected with the rest of the Game of Thrones universe. Although many fan-favorites do make appearances, the episode focuses on House Forrester. Due to the fact that House Forrester is only briefly mentioned in the novels and never mentioned in the HBO series, lots of decisions can be made by the player. This is another instance where Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series feels tightly connected to the rest of the series’ lore. House Forrester contains a lot of interesting characters, along with a great story to be told.
Caught up in the events of the War of the Five Kings, the members of the household have to do whatever they can to prevent the house from doom. Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is very intense, and is written extremely well. The three playable characters in Iron from Ice are very likable, and the decisions made throughout the episode feel extremely important. Episode 1 of Telltale’s Game of Thrones truly gives an insight as to how much House Forrester is suffering at this time.
Telltale Game has crafted another phenomenal franchise with Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series. They set the tone perfectly for what is ahead, and I can’t wait to see where this five-episode adventure will go throughout the season.
