Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride is the most fun and well-written episode in the series so far. The episode starts off with a tense action sequence picking up right from where Episode 2 left off. Catch a Ride starts strong, and keeps the pace throughout the entire episode’s run.
The choice that the player made as the enemies surrounded Rhys and Fiona in Atlas Mugged has a large effect on what happens in Catch a Ride. The choice the player makes determines if the episode will focus more on Rhys, or focus more on Fiona. The best way to experience Episode 3 is to play it through twice as I did. Catch a Ride is essentially two episodes with different well-written and hilarious dialogue put together into one.
Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride also explores the back story of Felix. As more is revealed about their adopted father, Fiona and Sasha have a more emotional experience while exploring the Vault. While the girls deal with the truths about their father, Rhys must deal with the voice in his head– Handsome Jack. In this episode, Handsome Jack’s ghost poses as more of a threat than it has before, as he shares some extremely tense scenes with Rhys.
Catch a Ride is the most enjoyable episode in the Tales from the Borderlands series so far. It offers a deeper look into the Borderlands universe, explores the origins of some of the game’s characters, and has lots of hilarious moments that make this the most memorable episode. Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride is best experienced by playing it twice to see everything the episode has to offer. Catch a Ride is a phenomenal experience, and I can’t wait to see where Telltale Games takes the series next! For all your gaming news and reviews, keep it here on NextGenerationGamer!
